The mezzo-soprano Claire Brua began her studies at the Nice Conservatoire, while also reading for a master’s degree in literature. She took a first prize at the Paris Conservatoire under William Christie and has appeared internationally with Les Arts Florissants, notably as Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at the Bastille and in Rome. In early music Claire Brua has worked with René Jacobs, Roland de Lulli, Jean-Claude Malgloire and Jordi Savall, but has an extensive repertoire and has appeared in leading rôles in operas ranging from Cavalli to Gounod. Her recordings include distinguished performances in early repertoire and in French song, a particular interest.
Amaury du Closel studied composition in Paris and conducting at the Mons Conservatory/Belgium and in Vienna. He worked as musical director of the Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Nancy (1984-85). In 1985 he was semi-finalist of the Parma, Tokyo and Besançon competitions and in 1986 he won the 2d International Competition Masterplayers for Young Conductors in Lugano. In 1986  he was named Music Director of the Paris Chamber Opera  and in 1988 Music Director of Le Sinfonietta de Chambord.  Since 1991, he has been principal guest conductor of the Romanian Radio and Television Chamber Orchestra.
