Consisting of famous musicians from Moscow and other musical centres of the former Soviet Union, in the course of years the orchestra has gained lots of admirers and has become well-known for its high-quality performances. The name of Veronica Dudarova, a laureate of State Russian Musical Award and an academician of International Art Academy, is famous not only in Russia but all over the world. A peculiarity of Veronica Dudarova and her orchestra is an attention to young and gifted musicians that take part in joined concerts with the orchestra: here it is the gifted young pianist Alexei Volodin. Volodin is the prize winner of various international competitions. According to various press releases, he is rated among the most talented pianists of the younger generation.The recordings for this all-Tchaikovsky programme took place in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, famous for its unique acoustics, in Spring 2003 and it presents artistic and technical quality at the highest level. Apart from thrilling concert recordings, the DVD offers additional highlights: camera positions can be selected by the viewer, i.e. he himself decides if he wants to see the soloist, the conductor, the edited version or even all angles at the same time.
